So 2010 is in the history books, and now we have another 12 months to look forward too. In no time at all Spring will be here, and soon after Summer. With the re-opening of Spazio’s on Ft Lauderdale Beach, Las Olas is gettin hot and it’s still technically Winter. The Exit 66 Ownership has promised big things for 2011, so I ask that you save your energy and a few weekends for us. We’re 11 days into the new year/decade and already I can sense things will be a little better all around. For me, although the benefit of having worked back in the club scene, i’m ready for new horizons. Lots of new business’ opening, lots of creative fronts, and the prospect of the WMC and Ultra 12 has me pumped.

I wish everyone lots of success and rewards and I will be kicking into overdrive in all aspects of my life!

So, yes! it’s been several months that i’ve been working at my new home “Exit 66″ (Powered by Crobar) and my lil biz has been sidelined since I took up homestead there. BUT, since I can now smell season rolling around the bend, I think it’s time to get gussied up and pretty for all the great events and ventures on the horizon.

First up, lets get into what i’ve been up to since April of this year. My mentor and friend Mr Ken Smith of CROBAR Worldwide and his Uber-Partner Mr Cal Fortis partnered with Ft Lauderdale Beach empressario Anton Yaari to create a phenomenal  new venue right in the heart of the Las Olas Beach district. The project aply named EXIT 66 is a spectacle of design and ingenuity, with a genius revamping of the space at 219 North Ft Laud Beach Blvd. The address sound familiar? It should, since it was once home to Atlantis, Bermuda Triangle, and in the 80′s spring break era “Summers on The Beach”. All were great existences but the first was dear to my heart, as the 1st place i’d seen nude jello wrestling at age 14!!!! Crazy.

The Grand Opening back in May was well received, and although questioned as to the timing (right before summer) it gave the Exit team a chance to work out the bugs and fine tune where necessary. Im proud to call it my home, and a bit conceeded in knowing this coming season, that includes SuperBowl and the return of the Air & Sea Show will be off the freaking chain!!!!!

For those “in the biz” I kindly invite you to come and take in this phenomenal venue, that is available for all types of functions. We eagerly await you, and can wait to amaze you.

Next- with this past week’s dip in temperature, it’s obvious that Winter is on it’s way. And so are the holidays. The phone and emails are coming in quick for parties and events, and it seems that business is back on the upswing, with companies spending money again. THANK YOU!

It’s only 5 days away. Both the 11th installment of the Ultra Music Festival, and the premiere of the ART OCTAGON are here! I imagine this is how Chritso felt the week before he colored Miami’s Intercoastal islands pink in the 1980′s, or how any artist feels before a showing. My partners and I want to thank everyone who contributed to the project, from the festival’s organizers, particulairily Heather Read, and all of Artists who submitted their work, and the Production Companies that made it possible to launch, sans a sponsor. Happy New Year to all. Hope you are as excited as I am about this year.  I was lucky enough to work with ConceptX out of New York for a great New Year’s project for Norwegian Cruise Lines this past week. What  a great way to start off the year. I look forward to collaborating more with them soon.

Also, I finally had the chance to visit the Fountainbleu and it’s amazing venue LIV. I was totally blown away. If you havent seen this nightclub, YOU MUST! The space was the area of the resort formally know as the Tropigala, and what they’ve done is too much to try and describe in writing. Thanks for the “MY” team of Michael & Yannick for their hospitality, and i’m hoping to contribute to the spectacle with custom visual content real soon.
